Traffic Restrictions For Ganesh Immersion in Hyderabad

Hyderabad police have imposed traffic restrictions across the city on Thursday for the Ganesh immersion procession.

Procession routes:
The main procession starts from Keshavagiri and passes through Aliabad Nagulchinta – Charminar – Madina – Afzalgunj M J Market – Abids – Basheerbagh – Liberty Upper Tank Bund and NTR Marg. The procession from Secunderabad area passes through RP Road MG Road Karbala Maidan – Kawadiguda Musheerabad X Roads RTC X Roads Narayanaguda X Roads Himayathnagar `Y’ Junction and joins the main procession at Liberty.Another stream of idols that come from Uppal – Ramanthapur – Amberpet NCC gate of OU Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital will join the Secunderabad procession at RTC X Roads.The idols from Shahinayatgunj, Goshamahal will join the main procession at MJ Market.Idols from Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Mehdipatnam will join the procession at the Secretariat. Other than trucks carrying Ganesh idols, no other vehicles will be allowed to move on the main procession route between 9 am on Thursday and 8 am on Friday . Traffic curbs might be extended based on the situation.
Traffic diversion points:
Facility to cross from the western part of the city to eastern side or vice versa will be provided at the Basheerbagh flyover X roads only . Commuters are advised to use the Outer Ring Road and Begumpet area to avoid diversions.
All the alleys leading to the main procession route will be barricaded.

Hyderabad south:
Keshavagiri, Mahabubnagar X Roads, Engine Bowli, Nagul Chintha, Himmatpura, Hari Bowli, Asra Hopsital, Moghulpura, Lakkad Kote, Madina X Roads, MJ Bridge, Dar Ul Shifa X Roads, City College.
Hyderabad east:
Chanchalguda Jail X Roads, Moosarambagh, Chaderghat Bridge, Salarjung Bridge (Shivaji Bridge) , Afzalgunj, Putlibowli X Roads, Troop Bazar, Jambagh X Roads, Andhra Bank in Koti.
Hyderabad west:
Tope Khana Mosque, Alaska Hotel Junction, Osman Gunj, Shanker Bagh, Seena Hotel, Ajanta Gate near Exhibition Grounds, Abkari Lane, Taj Island, Bartan Bazar, AR Petrol Pump.
Hyderabad central:
Chappel Road Entry , GPO, Shalimar Theatre, Gun Foundry , Skyline Road Entry , Bharath Scouts & Guides Junction in Domalguda, Kalanjali at Control Room, Liberty Junction, GHMC Office Y junction, BRK Bhavan junction near Telugu Talli Junction, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Dwaraka Hotel Junction, Khairatabad Junction (Visweswaraiah Statue), Children’s Park, Viceroy Ho tel junction, Kawadiguda Junction, Musheeerabad Crossroads, RTC Crossroads, Katta Mai samma Temple at Lower Tank Bund, Indira Park Junction.
Hyderabad north (Secunderabad):
Traffic will not be allowed to enter the Necklace Road and Upper Tank Bund from Karbala Maidan, Buddha Bhavan, Sailing Club and , Nallagutta Junction. The vehicles will be diverted at the following points from 6 am on Thursday to 8 am on Friday: CTO, YMCA, Paradise X Roads, Patny X Roads, Bata X Roads, Adavaiah X Roads, Ghansmandi X Roads.
Parking places around immersion points for onlookers:
People planning to watch the Ganesh immersion at Hussain Sagar have to park their vehicles at the notified places and proceed by foot to the places of immersion: Institute of Engineers at Khairatabad, MMTS station at Khairatabad, Anand Nagar Colony to RR district ZP Office, behind Buddha Bhavan, Goseva Sadan, Lower Tank Bund, Katta Maisamma Temple, NTR Stadium, Nizam College and Public Gardens.
RTC buses:
When the procession reaches its peak, RTC buses will not be allowed beyond the following junctions towards Hussainsagar.Masab Tank (Mehdipatnam buses) VV Statue (Kukatpally buses) CTO, Plaza, SBH, Clock Tower, Chilkalguda Crossroads (Secunderabad buses) Ramanthapur TV Station (Uppal buses) Gaddiannaram, Chaderghat (Dilsuknagar buses) Danamma Huts (Rajendra Nagar) IS Sadan (Midhani buses) YMCA, Narayanaguda (Inter City Special Buses) Tarnaka (No RTC bus shall be allowed be yond Tarnaka Junction towards Jamia Osma nia Flyover) Inter State buses: Buses coming from Rajeev Rahadari and NH-7 should go via JBS -YMCA -Sangeet CrossroadTarnaka Jamia Osmania flyover Nimboliadda – Chaderghat.
Buses coming from Bengaluru should go via Aramgarh Crossroad Chandrayangutta X Roads IS Sadan Nalgonda X Roads – Chaderg hat Buses coming from Mumbai should go via Godrej `Y’ Junction Narasapur X Roads – Bo wenpally – JBS – YMCA – Sangeeth Tarnaka Jamia Osmania flyover – Adikmet – Nimboli adda.
