Amarnath yatra begins today

Amarnath Yatra-2016 begin on Saturday, many vehicles conveying the planning pilgrims Friday achieved the Base Camps at Sonamarg and Baltal here. Utilizing different methods of transport, the pilgrims from various parts of India began achieving the Base Camps on Friday evening, in front of the formal begin of the journey to the cavern place of worship, authorities said.

A senior authority said the main bunch of pilgrims will begin trekking up the 14-km-long slippery mountain track from Baltal early Saturday to achieve the cavern holy place for ‘darshan’.Unique petitions are being sorted out at the hole hallowed place by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) to check the start of the current year’s Yatra, on Saturday morning.

The authority said sufficient game plans including identified with wellbeing, sanitation and water supply have been made to guarantee smooth behavior of the journey.In the interim, tight security courses of action have been made for episode free yatra, police sources said.

A police official said vehicles of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police would escort the pilgrims’ guards from Jammu to the two base camps. Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Imtiaz Ismail Parray, said sufficient courses of action have been set up along the Baltal course to guarantee tranquil yatra.
