‘Iftar’ was clearly a grand Event at the Nizam College Grounds, he helped Muslim brethren break their fast around 7 p.m., in the presence of several VIPs.
He set the ball rolling by feeding a date to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi, while Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Mehmood Ali fed a date to Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy.
He said the famed ‘Ganja-Jamuna Tehzeeb’, the culture for which Telangana is known for, was missing for a while. “It was needed to be brought back and we are proud to see it today. In at least 200 mosques, lakhs of Muslims are celebrating Iftar with us,” he said.
