AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday inaugurated the NTR Anna Canteen at Amaravati. The canteen that caters subsidised food to the people at Amaravati will be serving meal or snacks for Rs 5.
Chandrababu personally served the food to the customers after the inauguration. The Chief Minister was seen savouring the snacks along with Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa, Ministers Narayana, Paritala Sunita and MP Galla Jaydev.
The Anna canteens main aim is to serve clean food and will be launched all over the state.
This kind of subsidised food outlets has already been launched in Tamil Nadu and Telangana. While the popularity of the Amma Canteens in Tamil Nadu is considered one of the main reasons for Jayalalithaa’s return to power, the Municipal Canteens in Telangana also serve food at Rs 5.
