Banks to remain closed for 11 days in July

Bank services will remain unavailable for 11 days in July, not at a stretch but overall, bank employees’ strikes on three different days – July, 12, 13 and 29 – coupled with regular holidays and Ramzan.Banks will not work this month on 3,6,9,10,12,13,17,23,24,29,31.The banks work for a total of just 20 days this month.

Customers can expect some delays in transactions, particularly cheque clearances or online transfers, which can be executed only during working hours and on days when banks remain open.
Customers could also face delays in loan processing, remittances and other services like depositing cash or making demand drafts. ATM withdrawals will not be affected as several banks have outsourced cash-loading business to private players.
